Olivia Choplin, Associate Professor of French, received her Ph.D. in French with a minor in Psychoanalytic Studies from Emory University in 2009. Her dissertation work focused on the representation of psychic space on the theatrical stage in contemporary French and Francophone theater. Since arriving at Elon in 2009, she has continued to work on Québécois theater and has expanded her research to include immigrant writing in Québec, particularly Haitian-Québécois literature.
