In this current body of work, Jeanine Hill utilizes the memory of clay to build objects that become records of action.
The same fluency that a drawn line is able to bring to a surface, she is able to articulate through the creation of form. As we experience the world, we gradually create narrative memory palaces in our minds; small fragments created and combined to produce a narrative that is our own. It is through the examination of personal history and the construction and reconstruction of this landscape that Hill deciphers her own mysteries through the morphology of clay.
